Hi, I’m Melanie Borden, founder of Dirty Hippie. I believe life is too short to spend your weekends and all of your free time doing laundry or running around town dropping off dry cleaning. That’s why we’re building an on-demand marketplace for garment care. One platform that connects customers with vetted local businesses for laundry, dry cleaning, and specialty care, with pickup and delivery built in. We’re starting in North Jersey, making it possible to bag it, leave it, and get back to the things you actually want to spend your time doing.

It's three simple steps. You schedule a pickup, a vetted local partner handles your laundry, dry cleaning, or specialty garment care, and we deliver everything back to your door fresh and folded.
What areas do you serve?
We're launching across northern New Jersey, including Bergen, Passaic, Morris, Essex and Sussex counties, and adding new neighborhoods as we grow. Join the waitlist to find out when we reach yours.
How much does it cost?
Pricing will be announced at launch. Waitlist members get first access and early-member perks before we open to the public.
How fast is turnaround? Do you offer same-day?
We're building for same-day turnaround in most areas, with pickup and delivery windows that fit your schedule. Exact timing depends on your location and order, and specialty garment care may take longer.
What can you clean?
Everyday wash and fold, dry cleaning, and specialty garment care. That includes delicates, wool, bedding and linens, suits and pressing, plus leather and shoe repair and resoling. If you're not sure about a special item, just ask.
How do you handle my clothes? Is it safe?
Every order is handled by vetted local cleaning partners and tracked from pickup to drop-off, so you always know where your garments are and that they're in good hands.
